Turn your laptop or desktop PC into a Wii, for under $50 all that in less than 10 minutes. Incredible right?
The guy in the video seems to managed to do that. All you need is a Wii remote, a bluetooth receiver, infrared LEDs and some wires. I found Wii remotes for about $35 , so I’ll guess it can be done with no more than $50 dollars, the whole device.
If somebody succeds please leave a comment for more details about the procedure and problems that can occur during the process.

On that “sensor bar”, you have two LEDs in parallel with no ballast resistor across a 9V battery. That should overheat the LEDs, unless the ones you used have integrated current regulators.
Great, but it kinda defeats the purpose of the Wii if it can’t play Wii games. Still, that would work great as a mouse or for some sort of presentation with a projector.
Oh Nick, how wrong you are. You can download a Wii emulator to play the games on your newfangled PC Wii:

YAAHHH!! How did this wierd asian guy get on my Wii??
I love your blog… so much cool stuff… however, the constant usage of metacafe videos is annoying. Most of the metacafe videos you post are not even worth watching. Especially the Kip Kay ones. Are you getting a kick back for mentioning his videos or are you secretly tie in with him and share on the producer rewards?
The net has so many cool sites with how to or DIY ideas you don’t need metacafe to look cool. Let’s try and do a little more research on the net instead of your old trusty side kick Kip Kay….
Don’t get me wrong I still love your blog….
