    Does this really work?

Can’t say that I’m even remotely convinced.

For a start an ADSL filter is purely and band pass filter and the frequencies in which it works on are not even close to the range at which Cable operates.

What I don’t understand is why people waste their own time making fake tutorials - I assume they get some form of kick out of it.

I dont think that something that seems so simple can actually de-scramble a signal that a company like Time Warner Cable has invested millions of dollars to stop. I really don’t want to spend 5 years in jail for something so stupid.

actually it does work. only allows basic cable channels though, lower cable channels somewhat blurry, but works well indeed.

Does not work. I became skeptical when I saw that this guy opened up the dsl filter. What was the point of doing so? Anyways, I spent 20 minutes and built one. My answer: It is totally useless! Don’t waste your time. It does act somewhat as an antenna but I can do better by simply connecting a coat hanger onto the coax connector on the TV.

The dsl filter was designed for a specific purpose. To block a digital signal and allow an analog one to pass through.
This type of filter could work if your trying to remove a digital signal while leaving an analog one intact.
Since The majority of us Want the digital signal this filter would do the OPPOSITE of what you are claiming.
I’m not going to build one.. because I already know what it does.
