4 ways how to unlock handcuffs

There are many types of handcuffs available but the most popular are the ones made from steal or plastic just like the ones used by police . In this article I posted some videos where are explained the techniques to unlock this kind of handcuffs.

Something missed by these videos shows a basic ignorance on the part of the makers… properly applied handcuffs have the key access facing away from the hands, making it unreachable, also a second locking mechanism is activated with the base of the handcuff keys to prevent accidental tightening of the cuffs which requires a double step unlock process. Any officer who has been properly instructed in the use of his issue handcuffs will apply them properly and then none of the ‘unlocking’ methods will work.
A recommendation; have a trained officer put the cuffs on properly and then see if you can get loose.
Decades of police work, thousands of arrests, not one single ‘uncuffing’ episode at my precinct… and my precinct is a university campus with a great engineering college and brighter than average suspects.
No kidding. All I watched was #2, and I was laughing my butt off. First of all, he’s doing all of this work on the lighter before he has the cuffs on. Then he just puts the cuffs on one hands. In ‘real life’, all of this would have to be done behind your back with both hands attached. Finally, the trick involves closing the handcuffs tighter…obviously this man has never been cuffed by the police before!
This guy is an idiot!!!! I think he needs to be handcuffed for real…by a cop. Where the hell is he going to get a bic, a paper clip, a bobby pin or a straight pin? From his pocket? How the hell is he going to do that? If he’s in handcuffs then he has been searched, hence he will no longer have any of these things in his pocket!!!! Yes that would be the pocket his hands can’t reach because they are behind his back…the only way to get out of those cuffs now is if he can dislocate his thumb and squeeze out of them. I don’t however recommend this because what ever trouble you were in before is nothing compared to the trouble and pain your in now.
Remember this, revolutionaries. This is valuable knowledge. Protect your freedom, resist fascism.

he didn’t say that this was or meant to be done if a POLICE OFFICER handcuffed you. But if any other guy, a criminal, a kidnapper or else uses a set of handcuffs to cuff you then those videos may help you if you happen also to have bic, paper clip or something else.
Cool down officer, we know you are professionals, if not you may not get away with that much that you do get away with.

Very interesting tidbits, and the comments were also great. I don’t think anyone making these videos want someone in the back of a squad car to be escaping handcuffs, surely- this information is only potentially useful to performing escape artists and for the off chance that someone gets handcuffed by a non-professional, worst case scenario a kidnapper. Fun to know about, but I’m glad that these tricks don’t work when real law enforcement uses cuffs.
Any kid could get out of handcuffs regardless if a cop puts them on you or not, its not rocket science, cuffs are easy to escape from if you know how.
The videos have been removed, so can’t see what you guys were talking about, but many of the victims, Iraqi, U.S. and otherwise of “Al Qaeda in Iraq” and other groups over there-were handcuffed. Then beheaded in a most gruesome fashion. Maybe it’s a small hope, but any hope at all of escaping this fate is worth having.
Not everything is about criminals escaping police custody.
I’ve done police work on the military side of things, but would like to think that in *certain cases* I would like to keep my neck in one piece. It’s a trade off. Sorry if you have to watch people in your custody a little closer, but personally, I wish the videos were still up.
