Source of FREE electricity

When I think at hacking different devices I think at Kipkay.Recently he made a video where teaches us how to hack electricity and obtain it for FREE.

When our power goes down or when we have an emergency and need power his source is great. It is a secret that the power company and phone company don’t want ordinary people to know about. Just watch the video and power up your devices for FREE.

WOW this no big secrete. The companies won’t care because there isn’t enough power there to do much. Look at how dim the LED light was, I bet if you rigged up some batteries it would work a lot better. Now try to make it do something useful and I might listen to your ideas.

This is a neat trick, but the way the voiceover is written it makes it sound like one of those conspiracy theories, “the source THEY don’t want you to know!”.

Too bad there isn’t enough current to power anything useful.

Whoo 60 watts, I can power a lightbulb

I doubt they really care about that 60 watts

It’s true, I run my whole house off my phone lines. I don’t have an electric bill any more. SERIOUSLY1!!!

Phone companies provide backup power in the form of batteries and generators so that telephones can operate during power failures. It is NOT a free electricity source. By the way, when you consume this power from the phone line, you compromise emergency communications for your town during these power outages. I know this for a FACT because I work as a contractor at my local telephone company and I have seen the batteries and generators. I’m not trying to sh*t on your idea. In fact, I think that it takes real creativity to come up with stuff like that. The fact is you may have not realized you are using up electricity that hospitals and ambulances need during these times to communicate with one another. Just thought I should speak my opinion before anyone else was thinking of wiring up their house.

“Volts running through it” ????? Volts don’t run anywhere, current does.

    So with my VOIP connection…………..

Its only 45 to 52 Volts and it is DC current.

DC until someone calls your phone and the ring current which is AC and at a high voltage, blows out what you are using it for.

I retired from communications 5 years ago after working in the business for 33 years.

I love your blog… so much cool stuff… however, the constant usage of metacafe videos is annoying. Most of the metacafe videos you post are not even worth watching. Especially the Kip Kay ones. Are you getting a kick back for mentioning his videos or are you secretly tie in with him and share on the producer rewards?

The net has so many cool sites with how to or DIY ideas you don’t need metacafe to look cool. Let’s try and do a little more research on the net instead of your old trusty side kick Kip Kay….

Don’t get me wrong I still love your blog….
